For the stories that don't fit a tidy framework.

Psychotherapy with Kimberly Crispeno — for adults carrying complicated histories of trauma, betrayal, and the kind of quiet survival nobody quite saw.

Pressed botanicals: ferns, grasses, and dried wildflowers arranged on cream paper

Some stories are layered. They include traditions and leaders that harmed, relationships that asked you to disappear, caregivers who couldn't quite arrive, and seasons of loving someone in pain.

You're welcome to bring all of it here.

About

An artist, a gardener, a lifelong learner — who pivoted to therapy in midlife.

I came to this work the long way around. Two graduate degrees, a curator's eye, decades of paying close attention. I'm intuitive and playful and patient. I notice the threads other people miss — and I'm not in a hurry to braid them.

Approach

Slow, curious, honest. Built around you, not a manual.

01

Begin where you are

We start with the story you're ready to tell, in the language you already have.

02

Listen for what's underneath

I bring decades of curiosity to the patterns, the silences, the things you've half-said for years.

03

Move at the pace of trust

Healing is not a productivity exercise. We let it take the time it actually needs.

In their words

From people who have done this work with me.

Shared with permission. Names abbreviated to protect privacy.

Kimberly is the rare therapist that you can trust, from the first moment of the first session, with your deepest feelings and messiest confusions, knowing she will stick with you as long as it takes, bringing insight and compassion. I was broken by trauma and far from out of the situation causing it, and Kimberly has guided me to and through the 'aftermath.'
— CA, Client
Kimberly has been instrumental in my growth and emotional well-being. She is a skilled and compassionate therapist with the ability to meet anyone where they are in their journey.
— LR, Client
I am eternally grateful for Kimberly's skillful questioning, gentle care, and whole-person approach to therapy. As a result, I am learning to listen to my body as well as my heart, soul, and mind. Sessions with Kimberly have provided me a safe space to pour out grief and pain — and to begin to heal and look ahead with increased confidence.
