Crisis Resources

Please note: I do not provide on-call coverage for emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call or text 988. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or use one of the resources below.

For Immediate Mental Health Support:

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988

  • Crisis Services and Crisis Connections: 800-584-3578 (Snohomish County) 866-427-4747 (King County), 800-576-7764 (Pierce County)

  • Trans Lifeline: 877-565-8860 – A confidential hotline staffed by transgender people, for transgender people

  • Trevor Lifeline (LGBTQIA+ under 25): 866-488-7386 or text "START" to 678-678

  • Fireside Project (Psychedelic Support): Call or text 623-473-7433 (11am – 11pm PT daily). This project offers free, confidential support before, during, or after any psychedelic experience.

Session Fees

  • 50-Minute Individual Session: $160

  • 75-Minute Couples Session: $180

  • 90-Minute Family Session: $225

  • 90-Minute Mind/Body session (with mental therapist and physical therapist present together with you): $380

    Note: At The Aftermath Agency, we offer care paths that include multiple levels of mind/body care as well as practical/functional services. To request assessment for this level of help, please reach out.

Sliding Scale

To increase accessibility, a limited number of scholarships for care are available for clients without insurance or the means to pay full rates. If this reflects your current circumstances, please inquire. The Aftermath Agency, PLLC fundraises through its charitable arm to raise funds for these scholarships. Note: Scholarship clients are not eligible for insurance superbills or reimbursement.

Insurance & Private Pay

This practice is private pay / out-of-network (OON) and does not bill insurance directly. Payment is due on the day of service.

Benefits of Private Pay:

  • Greater privacy (no diagnosis shared with insurance)

  • Freedom in choosing your therapist and treatment options

  • Continuity of care regardless of insurance changes

  • No restrictions on telehealth services

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If your insurance plan offers OON benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Monthly superbills can be provided upon request.

To check your coverage, call your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?

  • What percentage or amount will be reimbursed for therapy?

  • Are LMHCA services and telehealth included?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • What documentation is required to receive reimbursement?

CPT Codes to Reference:

  • 90837 – 50-minute+ individual sessions

  • 90847 —Couples or Family Therapy

Initial Consultation

A free 15-minute phone consultation is available to help determine if we’re a good therapeutic fit. During this call, you’ll learn more about my approach, we’ll discuss your needs, and I’ll answer your questions.

Pre-Intake Paperwork

All first visit appointments require completed pre-intake paperwork. After your consult, a link will be sent to complete:

  • Consent forms

  • Practice policies

  • Payment details

  • Intake questionnaires

Cancellations & Attendance

Please cancel/reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges. If you are able to reschedule within the same week of initial appointment, no fee will be charged.

Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee.

Exceptions include:

  • Emergency (e.g. accident, hospitalization, death in the family)

  • Severe illness (reviewed case-by-case)

Clients with recurring sessions may only cancel 2 times in a row within a 6-month period. Cancelling 3 consecutive appointments or repeated cancellations may result in termination of ongoing treatment.

COVID-19 & Illness Policy (For In-Person Sessions)

To support community health, please follow these guidelines:

  1. If COVID-positive, please contact me to switch to telehealth if you feel well enough.

  2. If symptomatic with flu/cold/etc., switch to online or cancel with notice.

  3. If residual mild symptoms remain, mask up when attending in person.

  4. Consult your doctor if uncertain of your health status.

  5. The 24-hour cancellation policy still applies; emergency circumstances are reviewed individually.

Additional Services & Fees

  • Extended Sessions, Documentation, Coordination, After-Hours Calls, etc.: You will be charged at your prorated session rate for every 15 minutes spent beyond your session time.
    Advance notice will be provided before incurring additional fees.

Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. This is available for clients not using insurance or out-of-network coverage. Request one at any time.

Social Media

To protect your confidentiality and maintain healthy professional boundaries, I do not accept friend requests or engage in personal interactions with clients via my private social media accounts. This includes my personal and professional pages under my name or handle, including @kcrispeno on Instagram. You are welcome to follow me on Substack @kimberlycrispeno or The Aftermath Agency on Instagram @theaftermathagency.com.

While I may share mental health and wellness content on public platforms like @kcrispeno, these accounts are not secure or appropriate for therapeutic communication. Please do not use social media to contact me about therapy-related concerns or emergencies. These accounts are not monitored regularly and are intended solely for educational or inspirational content related to general well-being. If you have questions or need support, please reach out via the secure communication channels we’ve established in our therapeutic relationship.
